Attorney Tad Nelson is a native Texan who has dedicated his life to being a better DWI lawyer, and has always wanted to form a specialty law firm dedicated to DWI defense with a focus on addressing the needs of the accused. Not only the legal needs, but other needs that come with immensely stressful situations like being criminally accused.
The Law Offices of Tad Nelson & Associates is representative of this vision, and dedicated to the prolonged continuance of its goals.
A Former Prosecutor
As the former Asst. District Attorney, Tad Nelson is well aware of the tricks and schemes employed by prosecutors who work out of the Galveston & Brazoria County D.A.’s office, and the best ways to counter their attempts at securing convictions on defendants.
Tad has always held true to the fact that the science and the evidence are the only items up for debate in court, and if they don’t hold up, the defendant can not be guilty.
Finding a lawyer to appear in court with you is one thing, but being represented by an expert defense lawyer who has taken the time to earn status as an ACS/CHAL Lawyer-Scientist is a different matter altogether.
The mere idea of an “accused” DWI defendant being represented by an attorney, who can theoretically teach courses on Forensic Chromatography, is enough to warrant an immediate case dismissal when prosecutors come to grips with the fact that their case is on shaky grounds and on Tad’s menu.
No prosecutor wants to be embarrassed and Tad Nelson has the credentials and experience to make the incompetence of false or misdirected criminal allegations clear to the court. This is what it means to be represented on a DWI case by an ACS/CHAL Lawyer Scientist. Although an intangible, when going over the evidence being used to “accuse”, if any, understanding chemical composition in relation to time, human factors, & body weight, becomes very front and center in a concrete fashion every time the situation requires.
In the end, the District Attorney may not have a case. If this is the case, you can’t be guilty.
